Portrait Photography - Terms & Conditions

1.      Payment, Cancellations & Refunds

1.1  A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total shooting fee is required at the point of booking. Full payment will be required before the delivery of the final edited images.

1.2  By paying the deposit you agree to the Terms & Conditions, as outlined in this document.

1.3  Deposits and final online payments are to be made via PayPal in American dollars ($); however the final balance can be paid in cash at the time of the shoot in Japanese Yen (¥), based on the current exchange rate.

1.4  If the client needs to cancel the shoot, for whatever reason, the deposit will not be refunded, however best endeavours will always be made to find a suitable alternative to satisfy all parties.

1.5  If I the photographer am unable to complete the photoshoot on the specified arranged date, the deposit will be refunded in full, if a suitable alternative time or date cannot be found.

1.6  Photoshoots will be either re-arranged or the deposit refunded if the shoot cannot be carried out to due dangerous weather conditions or as a consequence of natural disasters. Inclement weather is not sufficient grounds for a photoshoot to be cancelled; however all effort will be made to mitigate any issues.

2.      The Photoshoot

2.1  Clients are responsible for turning up to a photoshoot on time. Any time lost due to a client being late will be deducted from the shooting time. However, I the photographer reserve the right to alter this at my discretion.

2.2  If I the photographer am late arriving at a photoshoot, additional time will be added at the end to make up the difference.

2.3  Once a photoshoot has begun (at the specified start time), time walking between locations is also included in the shooting time. Please factor that in when discussing where you want to shoot.

2.4  Any entry fees and travel outside of Tokyo will be covered by the client.

3.      Delivery of Images

3.1  A minimum of 30 images per hour will be delivered.

3.2  All images provided will be edited JPGs. RAW images will not be provided under any circumstances.

3.3  Images will be delivered within 3 working days of final payment via either OneDrive,  WeTransfer or GigaFile. The client will be responsible for downloading the images and appropriately saving them.

3.4  If the client wishes for images to be further edited after the delivery of the final images, an additional fee may be charged. 

4.      Image Rights

4.1  I the photographer retain the copyright to all photos and reserve the right to use them as I see fit for my portfolio and to promote my work, unless otherwise agreed with the client.

4.2  Clients may use these images for personal use or for non-commercial business purposes (e.g. profile photos on social media such as LinkedIn) only. These photos are not to be sold on or used commercially to make money, including (but not limited to) reproducing images on products to be bought and sold.

4.3  Clients may not edit or manipulate the final edited images for public use.

4.4  Although not a strict requirement, please credit me for the images, in an appropriate way, when used publicly.
